Rashad Anderson came to understand his celebrity status here in Polk County two years ago, when he returned home a couple of days after helping the University of Connecticut men's basketball team claim its second national championship. He walked to a nearby park, where he watched from a distance as a group of young boys shot baskets. "They were all saying, 'I'm going to be the next Rashad, I'm going to be the next Rashad,'" Anderson recalled. "That blew me away."
