DeLauro, labor leaders meet on health care
|
U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-3, gave her annual legislative update to
the state's labor leaders Monday under a storm cloud of layoffs and
rising health care costs that have already fueled one major strike.
"Middle-class families are facing challenges in the workplace, and
each of us knows that this year we have had a particularly large
number of labor issues here in Connecticut," she said. "The time has
come to start discussing what we could do to get a handle on them."
