Dillon's song; Inspired by a little boy's plight, dentist puts his feelings to music

When Bill Hylton composes a song he usually writes the music first. But when he wrote a ballad for 2-year-old Dillon Flanigan, the words spilled out long before the first note. Hylton's song, "Dillon," is about a boy who smiles through every waking moment of life, but can rarely leave home to be part of the outside world because of health risks and all that is required minute-by-minute to keep him alive. In a sense, it is a love ballad, Hylton said, to Dillon through his mother, Lauren Flanigan, who has fought like a trapped tiger - and successfully - to keep Dillon home rather than put him ...
