Athletics: Birchfield ace Teasel now back on track

OLIVER Teasel, strengthened by a season of cross country, returned to the track for Birchfield Harriers to register the surprise win of the British League Premiership at Hendon.

English Schools champion over 400m hurdles seven years ago, the bearded Sheffield Hallam University student abandoned athletics for a couple of years but went back "because of the massive void it made in my life."

The stamina provided by a tough winter over the country stood him in very good stead on a chill day in north London.
