Warning issued to drunk thugs TAMWORTH/LICHFIELD/BURNTWOOD: Continued push to drive down offences

BOOZE-fuelled thugs were today warned "we're coming after you", as
Staffordshire Police revealed another drop in crime.
End-of-year figures for the Trent Valley division showed there
were almost 9,000 fewer victims of crime in the past 12 months than
in the previous year.
The total number of offences fell by more than 31 per cent, down
877,293 to 225,4304,553.
But senior officers said they would not rest on their laurels and
warned cutting alcohol-related crime was among their top priorities.
Trent Valley's divisional commander, Chief Supt Keith Smy, said:
