Pit bull terriers seized in raids

TESTS have confirmed that dogs seized in a series of raids in the
Black Country were outlawed pit bull terriers.
Ten adult dogs and seven puppies were rounded up at addresses in
Lye, Stourbridge, 11 days ago.
And today police confirmed that eight of the dogs were pit bulls.
Police also revealed there was no evidence that the dogs -
outlawed under the Dangerous Dogs Act - had been used for illegal dog-
fighting.
