Pr. William Chambers of Commerce Unite Behind Mall Plan

When the Prince William County and Manassas chambers of commerce issued a joint endorsement of the controversial William Center project next to Manassas National Battlefield Park last week, a viable political force emerged, according to business leaders and county officials.

"It will increase their clout," Supervisor Edwin C. King (D-Dumfries) said. "You no longer have people second-guessing what one chamber said by pointing to the other chamber."
