All 50 inches of Christopher Thaiss, an 8-year-old from Vienna, seemed made to order for the role of Gavroche in the musical "Les Miserables"-a street-tough hero with a big voice and foul mouth. Spunky and urchinlike with wispy bangs and deep dimples, Christopher even acted like a hardened orphan from the slums of Paris.
