Worcestershire News: Vicar donates 50-year haul WORCESTER: Generous cleric gives book collection to university

A VICAR who has collected hundreds of books penned by a renowned children's author has donated the entire collection to a Worcestershire university.

Cornwall vicar, Reverend Brown, spent more than 50 years collecting the works of George Alfred Henty, clocking up more than 400 books, periodicals and articles. The generous clergyman felt the collection would prove a key resource for students at the University of Worcester - so has handed them over to its specialist Children's Literature Centre.
