A video-documentary on the late Rev. Gilbert Hartke, the founder
of Catholic University's speech and drama department, will debut this
afternoon at special ceremonies on the CU campus, where a former
Hartke student and active alumnus, the ubiquitous Ed McMahon, will
receive an honorary doctorate from CU's president, the Rev. William
Byron. The hour-long documentary, titled "Gilbert Hartke: The Legend
and the Legacy," was created by another former Hartke student,
producer and director Jimmy Rogers.
Rogers interviewed a number of former students and friends of
Hartke, who died two years ago, ...
