BATTLING bus users in Hall Green are claiming victory after people
power forced a company to replace a bus route.
Travel West Midlands merged the No 42 bus which ran through Acocks
Green and Hall Green with the 41 route four weeks ago.
The controversial move cut out access to Hall Green Health Centre,
in Hall Green Parade, leaving thousands without public transport
access to their doctors.
But travel bosses were forced to do a U-turn after elderly
residents collected a 1,000-name petition and hundreds turned out to
a public meeting to voice their disgust.
