LOMA LINDA - Following the lead of more than 40 California cities, Loma Linda is considering a ban on smoking in public parks.

Since 1986, Loma Linda has prohibited smoking in city-owned facilities. But the ordinance does not make a specific reference to parks.

City officials are considering expanding the ordinance to include such a prohibition.
