FONTANA - For 79 years, American Legion Post 262 has been stationed in the Arrow Boulevard building given to it by city founder A.B. Miller.

Now, it will be moving from its home since 1928 into new digs on the north side of Foothill Boulevard, west of Sierra Avenue, to make way for a new downtown fire station.

"Initially we were very, very disturbed about it," said post Commander Bill Wockley.

But, he said, the legion knows "it's progress, and you can't stop progress." ...
