I was astonished by Post special correspondent Elizabeth
Becker's article "Pol Pot Is the Real Killer" {op-ed, Nov. 5} in
response to my op-ed {Oct. 30}. After all, it's my family and not
hers. I was there and saw the bodies of Cambodians who were murdered
by Hun Sen and Heng Samrin in Kompong Cham; Elizabeth Becker was
not.
While in the Cambodian army, I served most of my time in the
eastern zone of Cambodia, which was under the operational control of
