Auckland may try to hog ball in Cup final and semi; 2011 RUGBY WORLD CUP

Auckland has already got the 2011 Rugby World Cup final, and now concerns are growing in the South Island that it plans to bid for a semi- final.

Christchurch and Canterbury interests appear to be preparing to counter any bid from Auckland for one of the two semi-finals, which Christchurch and Wellington are eyeing up.

They say they hope the games will be allocated fairly and the event will not become the 2011 Auckland Rugby World Cup.
