Civil defence plan to be reviewed

The Government's Civil Defence emergency management plan will be reviewed next year after concerns about its clarity.

A report authored by public law experts Chen, Palmer and Partners last July heavily criticised the plan.

"It requires urgent amendment so that New Zealand is properly equipped to tackle emergencies when a major disaster strikes," Chen and Palmer said.
