'Bloody hard slog' ends at South Pole

"Hello, South Pole here." Kevin Biggar has been dreaming about
answering the phone that way for years.
At lunchtime yesterday he got his wish when he and Jamie
Fitzgerald dragged their sleds the final few metres to reach the
world's southernmost point and toasted their achievement with a sip
of vodka.
"It's just fantastic. At the North Pole, there's nothing there,
