Divers snap up merino wetsuits
|
The same fleece protecting merino sheep from the high country's
harsh winters is keeping divers warm in the deep sea.
Wellington wetsuit manufacturers Pinnacle Aquatics claims it has
revolutionised the wetsuit industry in the last two years by adding
an interior lining of merino into diving suits.
Its patented merino liner helps divers retain warmth without
adding bulk.
Merino farmers got a close-up view of the wetsuit yesterday at the
New Zealand Merino Company (NZM) conference in Christchurch.
The company supplies all the merino wool to Pinnacle.
