Two French horses raced for the first time on foreign soil yesterday and found themselves right at home.

A day after Laurel's premier races were taken off a saturated grass course, the turf was put back into the International Turf Festival. European horses, considered to have a knack for soft courses, illustrated the point as Lady Winner convincingly won the $300,000 Selima Stakes, and Cricket Ball outlasted Oraibi to take the $250,000 Laurel Dash.
