Lizards in the garden

Geckos and skinks are quiet creatures that can flourish in your
garden, writes SARAH MANKELOW.
W alking into her Birdlings Flat bach home, you can tell that PhD
researcher Marieke Lettink loves lizards. Original art featuring
jewelled geckos adorns the walls, lizard-shaped brackets are fixed
above the fireplace and a beanbag lizard hangs down from the Zip
cord.
Outside, her 700sq m garden is a mecca for skinks and geckos. A
collection of low- lying divaricating shrubs, including the
endangered Muehlenbeckia astonii, is punctuated by tussocks and small
"lizard homes" made from stacked roofing ...
