In " 'Gator Aid" {Outlook, Oct. 1}, Randy Simmons and Urs Kreuter have unfairly criticized U.S. policies affecting the commercialization of native endangered species, stating that the Fish and Wildlife Service contradicts itself because alligators are commercialized but sea turtles are not.
