Tribe develops new structure
|
A new management structure for Ngai Tahu is intended to be in
place by July 1.
The South Island's largest iwi has spent the past four months
reorganising its corporate affairs, during which the Ngai Tahu
Development Corporation has been merged with the Office of Te Runanga
o Ngai Tahu.
As a result three people have been made redundant so far -- in
addition to 14 Development Corporation staff who lost their jobs last
year. There are still some members of the senior management team
reapplying for restructured roles with the iwi, which may cause the
number of redundancies to increase.
