NATIONAL SHEEP DOG TRIALS; Top dogs on centre stage

Tranquility was restored to Oxford farmer Chris Scott's Burnt Hill
property yesterday after six days of the whistling, barking cacophony
that was the New Zealand Sheep Dog Trial Championships.
About 350 spectators, including some from the United States and
the United Kingdom, turned out on Saturday to watch the heading dogs
finals, after the huntaway finals were held on Friday.
Championships secretary Mary Ann Petrie said the turn- out was
overwhelming.
