Plans for unknown soldier tomb sent back

Plans for a Tomb of the Unknown Warrior have been sent back to the
drawing board after a protracted dispute over the original design.
Culture and Heritage Ministry chief executive Martin Matthews said
yesterday that proceeding with the original plans would invite
further controversy, which was not in the spirit of the project.
"The tomb must be a symbol of unity and national identity, not
controversy ... it is time to move forward with the project as a mark
of respect to those it honours."
