Bad break from broker
A mortgage broker helped Ms M find a bank loan to buy a home. She
took out a fixed interest-rate loan, which meant that she could be
charged an early repayment cost if she repaid the loan before the end
of the fixed-rate period. The broker told her that the maximum early
repayment cost would be $3000.
