Town's sharp and slick backline has shredded Country's defence in the annual Craw Shield rugby match.

The Town backs scored five of their team's seven tries at Rugby Park yesterday, in one of the most lopsided contests of the 81 between the passionate rivals.

Town's 46-6 win represented the most points it had scored since the 48 in 1970, and the 40-point winning margin was its highest since its 44-3 victory in 1960.

Understandably, Town's coaches, Viv de Beus and Kelly Hansen, were all smiles afterwards, with de Beus applauding the way his team followed the plan and moved the ball ...
