WHEN ADNAN M. KHASHOGGI was arrested April 18 by Swiss
authorities acting at the request of the United States, many people
probably believed that he would be sprung by his lawyers in a few
days. After all, Khashoggi was "the richest man in the world."
Surely he could buy himself out of any difficulty.
He couldn't. By the time he was arrested, Khashoggi's luck had
long since run out. And perhaps more important, so had much of his
money. The Saudi businessman was extradited to the Unit...
