Prairie High School in the 1995 Texas state tournament. The Chicago
Cubs, who had drafted him the week before, were outraged.
This spring, an area baseball pitcher threw 180 pitches in one
high school reserve-level game.
"That's ridiculous," Centerville varsity baseball coach Terry
Dickten said. "When I heard that, I called the varsity coach (of the
reserve pitcher). The coach should have known better."
Such incidents have triggered a feasibility study by the National
