Wright State's 'Woods' visually, aurally engaging Reader's theater 'Animal Farm' touring schools

If you haven't caught Wright State University Theatre's sumptuous production of the Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine musical Into the Woods, you still have 10 chances.

Directed and choreographed by Joe Deer, it marks the second college production in two weeks to exceed the usual standard for theater design. Sinclair Community College's The King Stag, although more compact than WSU's sprawling three-hour opener, was also impressive.

Into the Woods is a feast for the eyes with set design by Pam Knauert Lavarnway, costumes by D. Bartlett Blair and lighting by Matthew Benjamin.
