Invitational first of several local events

PIQUA - Candles were lit and towers collapsed when more than 700 junior and senior high school students converged on the campus of Piqua Junior High for the beginning of the 2004 Science Olympiad season.

The Piqua Science Olympiad Invitational was the first of several local events that will be held this winter prior to the state tournament April 24 at Ohio State University in Columbus.

Science Olympiads are academic interscholastic competitions that challenge junior and senior high students to go beyond their regular classroom experiences.
