Forget the debate about the difference between a sweet potato and
a yam. What's worth knowing is that not all sweet potatoes are
created equal, and that's important in this season, the only time
when local farmers harvest their sweet potato crop.
Farmer Mike Brown, who sells at multiple farm markets, raises 11
varieties of sweet potatoes. While the heavy summer rains produced
smaller sweet potatoes - it's a vegetable that doesn't like wet feet -
