Fairmont grad far from too frail as team's top scorer
DAYTON - On a University of Dayton soccer squad that includes
players from all across the United States and Puerto Rico, a wispy 5-
foot-8, 145-pound sophomore from Kettering has emerged as the top
scoring threat and a favorite with the fans at Baujan Field.
Chris Rolfe, who manipulates the ball almost magically, is scoring
so frequently for the Flyers that he has quieted the skeptics who
thought he might be too frail for the rigors of college soccer.
He has scored 14 goals in 17 matches for Dayton, which takes a 7-
9-1 record into contests ...
