Rally about board appointments

DAYTON - Montgomery County veterans are organizing a Courthouse Square rally Sept. 7 to protest what some see as a takeover of the county's Veterans Service Commission.

The rally is being scheduled as the Montgomery County Commission prepares to appoint six additional board members to the Veterans Service Commission, enough new members to constitute a majority on what will become an 11-member board.
