The Secular Storm Around Rev. Healy; Critics Question Posting to New York Public Library

At Georgetown University, the Rev. Timothy S. Healy has been both priest and president for 13 years. He has ruled on promotions and prodigiously raised funds. He has also regularly said mass and visited patients in the hospital.

But even before Healy, 65, takes his new job as president of the New York Public Library later this year, he is learning it may be more difficult to play the two roles there.
