Konrad Lorenz, 85, a Nobel Prize-winning scientist who was best known for his theories on man's innate aggressiveness and his comparative studies of the behavior of animals in their natural environment, died of kidney failure Feb. 27 at his home in Altenberg, Austria, about 30 miles northeast of Vienna.
