Shrove Tuesday feast free at Millinocket church

Members of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Millinocket traditionally are hosts for a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper to celebrate the eve of Ash Wednesday.

And, traditionally, that supper is open to the public, Lona Gagnon told me, but usually for a fee, she said.

This year, however, members of St. Andrews have made a major change in their Shrove Tuesday supper.

The event is still open to the public but, this time, Gagnon said, that supper will be free.
