The Cast of `Arabia' Night;The British Embassy Hosts Lean & the `Lawrence' Crew

They'd crossed the desert to Aqabah. They'd watched camels and horses thundering across the sands, trains exploding, Peter O'Toole tortured. And they'd gone without water for nearly four hours.

Now, after watching Columbia Pictures' newly restored "Lawrence of Arabia" last night at the Uptown, they were thirsty for the chance to mingle with Sir David Lean and company. The select group of 120 invited to the British Embassy after the movie lingered near the legendary director-drop-dead handsome at 80 years of age and definitely not in need of restoration-hoping to shake his hand and chat.
