Normal wins speech regional

NORMAL - Normal Community High School took the speech and individual event regional championship hosted at Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School in Paxton with six first-place wins.

Team scores are: first, Normal Community High School; second, Normal Community West High School; and third, University High School, Normal.

Individual winners were:

Dramatic duet acting first, Normal Community, Brady James and Katie Kauffman; second, Normal Community West, Barbara Harrington and Rebekah Strauss.

Dramatic interpretation: first, Normal Community, Natalie Chambers; second, Normal West, Rebekah Strauss.
