Residents review Lee-Market plans

BLOOMINGTON -- People were polite but persistent and passionate as they talked to city representatives Thursday about proposed changes to Market and Lee streets.

About three dozen people attended the meeting at the Harvest Family Worship Center, 712 W. Locust St.

Proposals call for stop lights instead of stop signs and adding a left turn lane in the 400 and 500 block of North Lee. That would mean using some of the city's right of way property and making the street closer to homes in those blocks. A wider turning radius takes property at each corner of the intersection.
