Mount Carmel football 'spoiled' by own success

CHICAGO - Chicago Mount Carmel High School will be searching for its record-tying 10th state football championship Saturday against Bloomington.

But with a 12-1 record, even another title won't be good enough for some die-hard Caravan supporters.

"Unfortunately, people are so spoiled. It's what have you done for me lately," said Mount Carmel coach Frank Lenti. "One year we were 13- 1 and an old-timer came up to me and said, 'It's too bad you lost that one.' "
