Mountain View Students Shop for Donated Gifts Children Selected Presents for Parents

Students at Mountain View Elementary got a boost on their Christmas shopping last week with a donation of gifts from the Mountain View Neighborhood Association.

The association organized a gift store Friday for students at the South Valley school to pick out gifts for their parents, have them wrapped and enjoy some holiday cheer.

"This being one of the poorest schools," said Carol Kline-Watson, who came up with the idea, "most of the children will never be able to buy a gift for their families."

Tiffanie Garcia, 10, picked out a candle for her mother and a coffee mug for her father.
