'Much Needed' Station Opening On West Side Facility includes ladder truck and EMT-trained firefighters

Firefighters from Station 21 are looking forward to working out of their own station -- the West Side's newest fire station.

Station 21 is the fifth station on the West Side (Station 14 is at Westgate, Station 17 is near Redlands Park off of Sequoia near Coors, Station 18 is in Taylor Ranch and Station 27 is in Paradise Hills). And there are three more to come, Albuquerque Fire Department Chief Robert Ortega said.
