LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Dec. 12, 2007) - Radarsat-2, Canada's highly advanced next-generation Earth Observation satellite will be launched on December 14th from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

The Canadian Space Agency, with the participation of its prime contractor MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates (MDA), will be hosting a launch event at the Agency's John H. Chapman Space Centre in Longueuil.
