AKRON -- George Zoltan Hunyadi Sr., born April 13, 1915, in Columbus, was called home by his Lord, Jesus Christ, Friday, Dec. 7, 2007.

At age 2, after his mother's death, the family moved to Dombo, Hungary. On May 24, 1932, at the age of 17, George and his older surviving brother, Andrew of Naples, Fla., returned to Columbus.

On March 17, 1940, George married Helen Vegh of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Together they have nine surviving children, George Z. Jr. (Rachael Joy) Hunyadi of Saint Charles, Ill., five children, eight grandchildren; Geraldine (Roger) Betz of Mansfield; Dianna (Eugene) Bako ...
