How Kelvin got FILM director Michael Winner has been proudly showing off his house in Melbury Road, a multi-millionaires' row in Holland Park, which he is leaving to the nation when he dies.

The mansion was built by Norman Shaw for the painter Sir Luke Fildes, best known for The Doctor in the Tate Gallery. In this house, Fildes a relation of the financial columnist Christopher painted his swaggering state portrait of King Edward VII.
