ELLENSBURG - Regina was born to Mary Anna (nee Geislinger) and
John Bauer in the family home near Kenmare, North Dakota. Regina was
only the second daughter and was welcomed and pampered by her older
brothers. Regina attended St. Agnes Catholic School until second
grade and then completed her 8th grade education in Kenmare public
schools. At 16, she began her first job working at the Kenmare
Hospital as an aide. When she was 25, she traveled to Missoula,
Montana to her brother Mike's home where she stayed and helped her
