Too old for ice cream

As we ate dinner on the deck, I recognized the sound immediately,
but my hubby wasn't sure. "It's an ice cream truck," I confirmed.
I understood his confusion. The music heralding this ice cream
truck was composed of samplings of several songs, randomly patched
together in a tinny, electronic blare. It sounded like something from
an alien planet in a bad science-fiction movie. "Did you have ice
cream trucks when you were a kid?" he asked.
"Sure," I replied.
