Dozen amateurs to tee it up at Open

No amateur has hoisted the U.S. Open championship trophy in 74 years, but that won't stop a dozen longshots from living out their dream this week at Oakmont Country Club.

"It's great that the U.S. Open is as open as it is," Ivy League champion Chris Condello said.

It simply wouldn't be the Open without a top collegiate player struggling to make the 36-hole cut, or an investment manager challenging the world's richest golfers.
