Gerald William Farquhar, 78, a lawyer in private practice who
specialized in professional liability and construction claims, died
Nov. 18 at his home in Washington. He had lung cancer.
Mr. Farquhar spent the past 35 years as a consulting attorney for
the Victor O. Schinnerer and CNA professional liability program for
architects and engineers. Schinnerer is an underwriting manager, and
CNA is an insurance company that handles claims.
He assisted project owners and design firms in assessing and
managing professional liability risks and had an expertise in risk
management analysis.
