Eton Park Acquires R6, Makes Distressed Push

NEW YORK (HedgeWorld.com) - Eton Park Capital Management LP, the $10 billion hedge fund founded by star manager and former Goldman Sachs partner Eric Mindich, is buying a credit hedge fund run by Ralph Rosenberg, another former Goldman Sachs partner. The two have known each other for more than 15 years.

Mr. Mindich said in a letter to his investors on Monday [Nov. 19] that he is buying R6 Capital Management, a New York-based, debt- oriented hedge fund with $300 million under management. The letter, signed "Eton Park Capital Management" was obtained by HedgeWorld.
